Oh crap! rod knocking

Well this sucks, my exhaust is still open but I can hear a bad noise and my oil pressure is flucating a bit. I guess I will be finding out if my 455 buick is a good motor sooner than later.

How much fluctuation are you getting on the oil pressure. Hope it is not a rod.

I am so tired of the price of gas I am considering switching to a 6.2 diesel. Man I really don't want all the work but for the cost of driving the K5 daily it would be worth it.

I am just going to run it till it blows itself apart. I am about 99% sure its a rod or a main. But it seems intermittant so mabey I can get another month or so out of it

When I got the intermittent rod knock it made it the forty miles to get me home, and then onto the trailer, and back into the shop. I wish you the best of luck.
