so ive been torturing myself bu playing on craigslist. and i found something that has be sweating bullets because i dont have the cash right now. I have a set of H1 beadlocks for my 1986 M1009 but i dont want to run spacers, meaning i need dually axles. Well, i found em, mounted to a rolling chassis, with a skyjacker lift kit. all for $600 bucks.

anyone know if the skyjacker for a 1970 pickup is at all usable on a 1986 blazer?

and do scrap yards take vehicle chassis?

even if the lift dosnt fit im sure i can sell it, but getting rid of that truck chassis is a bit of an issue. my parents tolerate alot of my car parts.... but that would definatly be pushing it.

A 70 truck is not the same frame/body like all the 83-91 trucks are (for the most part). I'm not sure on 1st gen spring lengths but hey, you can always make it work if you need it!

Hope ya get your hands on it bud!

mmmkay, so ill sell the skyjacker lift kit. heck, even 600 bucks for a 1 ton DRW setup is fine by me :) just need to sell some stuff on craigslist, and get my comission check at the end of the month and get the stuff.

If memory serves, putting in the rear 14bff will require SRW hubs, relocated spring perches and shock mounts. and the front should be pretty strait forward.... but i know theres an article in the tech section, guess ill go read through that.

stomis - thanks, heres hopin.

a 1970 will not have a D60/14B unless somebody put it in. If its a stock axle I think it will be a closed knuckle front with drums.

yeah, everything is hinging on the guy calling me back, ive posted two sets of rims/tires, a 9 bolt axle (no, i dont mean 9 inch), and a TBI 305 from my RS camaro on craigslist. if i get rid of all that it should make room for the new parts, and more than finance them ;)

But the ad said it had disk brakes, and i didnt think that 1 tons had anything but D60 front axles, but i talked to a gent that claimed to have looked at the chassis and claimed it was D44 front axle.... so yeah, theres alot of unknowns here, and i need to touch base with the seller.

The Dana 60 did not come out till 1977. Before that I am not sure of what came under a dually. Most of them I see are 2wd.
