Pvt. Maggot
1/2 ton status
Well guys,
It would appear I might be getting back into my, as well as all of your obsessions. Gonna try and go look at a K5 today, 88 rough body, new 350 and trans, I guess its stock other then the motor and he only wants 450 bucks.
I had 750 bucks saved up to buy a d60 and 14bff combo from yzeater, but my e-mail decided to screw me and he never got it, I figured he sold them so I bought myself music toys, whoops
But my 89 is going soon, so that'll be 1000 bucks, and 750 of that if thats what he still wants will be going to him, and i'll join the ranks of the 1 ton crew.
I also got a job to support my habit. 8.50 an hour to sit on my lazy @$$ and listen to people complain about their t-mobile bills and whatnot hah
Just temp so I can get my stuff straight and get the job I have waiting for 17 bucks an hour fixing cars, gotta love it.
Sorry for posting in the garage, but you know how that go's, now I can buy a membership as well!
So i'm thinking that if the body just needs the typical rust repair, then i'll be more then happy to tackle it, but I was thinking while I was at it, I would go full convert, does anyone think this is a waste of time, and a clone of the true, or do you think the work is worth the cool factor? I for one go with #2
Thanks for all the info you guys have given, and the kind words that make me want to continue my K5 dream, if it wasn't for you guys, after my K5 had to die, I prob wouldn't be here. But I gotta build the best rig on the site right?
Thanks guys!
Jack
