ohm reading on primary resistance wire to coil

I have a '72 Blazer. Does anyone know what the ohm reading should be on the ignition wire? I'm having to replace some wiring and I went with a normal wire and need to know what ohm ballast resistor to get.

should be 12v to the ballast and around 8ish from the ballast to coil if i recall correctly, any parts store should be able to set you up with the right one it's a pretty standard part for a point set up

Before I went with HEI, I was using Mallory P/N 700 ballast resistor.
