A freind of mine in AZ is on his second 300,000 + mile vehicle with origanal motors. He runs through a oil change place every 10,000 miles. One was an Oldsmobile station wagon with a carb so about 1982 or so. The other is a Ford f-150 pick up with a 302 he bought around 1994. So this crap about oil changes at 3,000 miles is for the birds. Although I change at or before 3,000... not sure if that helps storage questions.
