Oil cooler fitting

I was going to suggest looking up oil cooler lines and clicking on the "info" button--but all it says is "male and female thread"...
GEE,that tells us a lot !..:surepal:..

Perhaps googling the hose part numbers will link you to a listing with the thread specs..

Yeah I tried looking up the hoses. Haven’t tried googling the part number though. My next thought was to give AC Delco a call but I’m not very optimistic about how that will turn out.

The oil cooler hoses on my 6.2 diesel had metric threads I'm pretty sure, but the block and radiator had 3/8" npt pipe threads, and they put an adapter between the block & hoses...( used 3/8" NPT compression fittings and a length of copper 3/8" tubing to "delete" the oil cooler & hoses)...

Not sure if gas engines are the same way--you may be able to use regular pipe thread fitting directly to the block and radiator ports if that is the case, which will be a lot less than having metric fittings crimped on custom hoses..

I agree with @diesel4me, I have an engine oil cooler mounted as a power steering cooler and I'm 99% sure the fittings on the cooler were metric. I was able to get cooler to AN fittings but I don't know if I still have the receipt with part numbers.
