Folks,
I have a partially cross threaded "socket" in my radiator where the upper engine oil cooler line screws in. Any ideas on what thread size this is? Tried measuring this fitting at the hardware store using NPT type thread checker and says is 1/2"-18 NPT, but such a tap does not exist. Could it be metric, or something not NPT that would fit into the same hole?
I've been to three auto parts stores, three hardware stores, one radiator shop ("buy a new radiator"), no dice so far.

It is an SAE O-Ring fitting, not a standard pipe fitting. I forget if they are metric or inch though...
