I finally got my 87 Suburban (5.7L) on the road and through emissions. Now, I'm addressing whatever is leaking. I see two pressure lines that run from the oil filter housing up to a radiator like cooler mounted in front of the radiator. Are these factory oil coolant lines or what? Thanks.

Those are factory lines. Mine were leaking in the front (there were two hose clamps connecting them to the cooler). Tightened them up and no more leaks. probably big bucks for new lines.

Can't see the pics, but assuming they are factory, and they are leaking, hydraulic hose places can usually make them. As I recall the fittings are an oddball style, the shop will probably need yours as donors.

You can remove the oil cooler setup, and replace it with the "standard" oil filter base, but I kind of like having the cooler, although I've not hooked up an oil temp gauge to see how much it helps.

If you replace the line be very carful unbolting it at the cooler the factory i think over tightened them or just the time factor i need one and i have gotten 2 of them off ebay and they have been trash because the person taking them off just wrenched them off and ended up striping the connection's. and no-one sells the factory one's or i cant seem to find them.

Looking for the one additionnal in front of the radiator of the one integral to the radiator?
I have one of the front coolers, I will check the threads on it.

Thanks. I'm going to get them cleaned up and figure how bad the leak is. I appreciate the advice on being careful removing them. If I do replace them I'll have a local hose shop make up new ones.

I glanced at the pictures last night, looks to me like they are leaking where the rubber is crimped, which is the failure point for those later hoses. Earlier ones were armored lines, (like the short pieces of OEM flexible fuel lines on the TBI trucks) don't see those leak as much.
