Has anyone had any luck finding replacement square cut seal that goes on the end of the oil cooler line before getting screwed into the fitting at the oil filter adapter. Friday I had a guy at the dealer search for these and he was having no luck.

thanks

What year are you dealing with? I don't think the earlier cooling setups used a gasket, so I'm guessing you have the cooling lines that are rubber?

Need to know roughly the year, and could then look it up in the parts manual to see if they were sold separately. Probably discontinued, but might get lucky. At least give you a part number to try and cross reference.

Or, you can download the parts manual for your year in the link in my signature, and try and find it yourself.

This is a 1989 gmc jimmy, has hard line from oil filter adapter plate half way up and it turns to rubber lines....

The last time I needed a square cut seal I went to a hydraulic repair and supply shop. If they do not have some in stock they can usually order it for you. I needed one for my transfer case adapter on the trans side. I probably could have gotten away with a round seal, but the square cut is what it came with from the factory so I went the extra mile and ordered a square cut one from a hydraulic repair and supply store.
