oil drain plug gaskets

what do you use for drain plug gaskets in the k5 350's... nylon or crushed metal? I've also seen metal with some type of gasket on the inside.
 
I use the metal with the rubber insert, they are the best out there.

Hmm, might be worth changing, maybe the motor will keep oil in it a little better.

They stock those at auto parts stores?
 
We carried them at the auto store I worked at. I'm sure most stores will have them.
 
reuse it... just wipe it with a rag and reinstall... just be careful pulling/putting it off/on on the plug... thats how the rubber gets torn up is by people roughly pulling them off and on the plug...

Dorman makes em iirc...
