oil fouled plugs

does the truck smoke when you first start it, then clear up?

Some smoke comes out but it is not all that bad. Just an inital burst and then it is clear.

I tought about going to higher temp plugs.

Also the carb was poorly tuned. I just got that fixed. It was running rich.

valve seals....

are you sure it's oil fouled and not just rich? take a pic of the plugs and post it.... throw some fresh ac delco's in, run em for a bit, then pull em and check em... a couple days to a week after install... you'll be able to read them easier...

Carbon fouled or oil fouled? thoughts?

mostly rich... fresh stock ac's, pull em in a week..

I replaced my seals last november and the plugs had oil on them no way to mistake it from running rich its notisable

Well they sure look like you are running way rich, the look dusty if it were oil they were covered in oil a bit all the way to the scre section, thats how i had mine, still touch the dark thing and identify if its carbon or oil

QUESTION:
If you have lightly fouled plugs due to bad seals do i need to replaces the plugs??? i cleaned mine and they still do pretty good.
