Oil Gushing from Topside

Greetings from Korea!

On my way to work this AM I was shocked to discover oil running out of the breather on the passenger side valve cover. It was a gusher! I probably blew out a quart in 5 miles.

What could the problm be?

I have an 84 K-5 4X4 with a 305/5.0 liter V8 and a manual 4-speed I affectionally refer to as "Yellow Fever".

Possibly a drainback hole in the head has clogged and the valve cover is filling with oil. Pull the valve cover off and inspect it.

Check your PVC valve. I had a J##p with a 401 in it that did the same thing once when the valve got stopped up.
