oil light reset

The procedure for an '03 Trailblazer is as follows:
-Put key in run position.
-Fully depress the accelerator 3 times within 5 seconds.

I would imagine it's the same for your 'burb. You could also consult the owner's manual if need be. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I agree with Heavy4x4. My 02 GMC Sierra is the same way. So is my buddy's 03 Chevy. That should do the trick for you. If it doesn't, there is always the owners manual.

Step 1: locate the change oil light on the instrument cluster.
Step 2: clean surface around light on the dash face with rubbing alcohol.
Step 3: get a fresh roll of Black electrical tape, and cut off a piece that's a slight bit larger than the light.
Step 4: apply tape to dash face over light.

this also works for VCR's that flash `12:00'

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. I read the manual, but didn't see anything about it. One of the shop techs at the dealer told me once, but I forgot. The wife drives it, so it wouldn't bother me if it stayed on. I would like to take my pistol grip shotgun and blow out the upshift light on my Jeep though.....

either that or you if it is like the new rendezvous and such, you will hafta go through the programs with the selecyt button until u find it and once u find it u press and hold the reset button until it clears. but odds are just hit the gas 3 times to the floor /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
