oil on hose

Ok here goes opened my hood and there was oil on the outside of the hose that goes to the t fitting to the bottom of the carb and the small tube that goes to the canister there was also oil on the hood (underside)but no oil anywhere else ont even on the valve covers or the top of the air cleaner any thoughts I am going to change the hose first step but ideas on what It may be happining thank you and merry christmas and have a happy new year,mike

could be your pcv valve is plugged or the hose is off? Maybe the pressure is blowing oil up on the hood. that is where I would start anyway.
