My buddy has a 1984 Monte carlo SS that we just swapped a nicely built 358 into. Its been in there about a week and now the pan is leaking at the front and rear pan seal. we used the one peice fel pro gasket. I was talkin to my dad earlier today and he was saying that they used to make a peice that put pressure up on the lip of the pan to stop the leak and attached to the pan by the two back bolts. Does such a thing exist? i really dont feel like lifting the motor back up to fix the pan again.... any hwlp or suggestions would be great :D

Is it a chrome pan or a stock factory pan? Every chrome pan i've ever seen leaks like a SOB.

its not a chrome pan. but it is a aftermarket one. like a orielys one or some other cheap china made one.
