Oil Pan Gasket

I've quit using gaskets on the valve covers and oil pans altogether. I just use a good quality RTV silicone, and follow the directions closely. This means laying down a good, solid bead, and allowing it to dry a bit before installing. I do, however, use the front and rear rubber seals on the oil pan, along with a dose of silicone. This has stopped most of the oil leaking problems.
