I would like to know if it is possible to remove and replace an oil pan (from below) on a 1990 K5 Blazer, 350/5.7 engine. Looks to be do able w/o to much problem. Thanks

ALL-DATA calls four about 4 hours. states remove exhaust crossover,
if fitted, remover torque converter shield, and transmission braces,
if equipped. nothing about raising engine. should be piece of cake!
I did my '83 in the driveway, took about 2.5 start to finish, and I was
replacing rear main seal as well. It would have taken two, but, as I was
starting the last bolt on the pan, pleased with myself, I looked by the
left front tire, and saw the oil pump! :doah:

Great Thank You. This will be my next project after I locate a new pan.
Thank Again
