I have an 87 K5 and as soon as I turn the key the Oil gague jumps all the way to the right. What could be wrong with it and where SHOULD it be sitting?
Sounds like a short to me. Check the wire is still attached the switch, then check the wire hasen't chaffed somewhere.Should be at zero 'till you crank up some pressure.
If it all check good, then the gauge is bad. Well actually the little ceramic resistor behind the gauge is what goes bad on gauge itself. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
