Got a electric oil pressure gauge at a a swap meet with the sending unit new in the box real cheap. Now that I am trying to install it behind my intake manifold I'm wondering if there is another spot I can put this on the motor? Anyone know this?

Also, anybody know what the fitting in the block behind the intake manifold thread size is? Is it 1/8 npt?

1/8NPT where you are talking about.

Many blocks also have another 1/8 tapped hole at the front of the block, above the timing cover, just to the passenger side of the centerline of the engine.

The one above the oil filter (if tapped) from what I've seen is 1/4". Some early blocks didn't have that hole tapped.

I've never seen the factory use the front hole, probably because it's not always present. The one above the oil filter was used in some applications.
