seems when I bought my Blazer, the guy who put it together left a couple loose ends, one being the oil pressure line off the back of the block on my 350 must be loose... I see the oil leak but it’s so far back on the block by the distributor- what’s the best way to access it to tighten it?

Should I take the trans tunnel off and reach up from the back? I don’t think there’s room. It’s behind the carb and the TV cable setup. Glad it’s not a rear main seal, tho... I may have lay up on the engine and such to actually reach it.

I can reach from the top

While you are at it, take a flashlight and look close at the intake manifold where it meets the block and heads. This is also a common leak area

At least the rest is pretty clean to work on there....

I’m with you on the LS at some point... maybe on the next one!

Side note... The 700r4 test drive did very well today - engine loudness and vibrations were toned down, and shift points are great. I’m very happy with the results (so far). I have yet to get on the freeway, but lower RPMs at higher speeds makes it worth it.

At some point, I’ll get a video compiled of the drive with the 700 to accompany the drive with the TH350 and post that so folks can see the overall difference on the change in RPMs at different speeds.
