oil pressure sending unit help

hey i just put my 454 in my 81 stepside, the port on the engine is a 1/4" npt. Is the oil pressure sending unit for the gauge on the dashboard just a one wire hook up?

any help would be appreciated

The NPT in the motor should be 1/8 NPT... NPT isn't the actual measurement..

And yes, it's a single sending wire... basically creates a variable ground...
