No Chevy engines need an oil slinger. Ford and Briggs & Stratton do, but not a Chevy . One trick is to drill a very small hole in one of the front galley plugs to supply plenty of oil to the timing chain area. The only 350's that had anything up front were the late 90's Vortecs with the crank position sensor and maybe the LT-1, but your 350 goes together without one.
