CK5ers are a proud bunch. We take great pride in our trucks. We take great pride in being better-than-average people, and we take great pride in belonging to one of the best sites ever to be published on the Internet........

Yet, for some reason, we can't seem to rise to the challenge of blowing the competition away over at Top4x4sites.com. Every so often another site will take a run at us, and sometimes it seems that the 5 seconds it takes all of us to vote daily is too big of a sacrifice to make.

ProjectBronco.com is putting some serious heat on us right now. We are a mere 20 votes ahead, and if things continue like this they'll knock us out if the #1 spot within a couple of days.

I think it's just free advertising. If someone does a search on 4x4 they could look at that site and say....Wow, that site must be cool....there number one and so on....

I vote every time I visit the site. The reason we should be #1 is that we are the only all-GM site on the list (I think). There are like 3-4 Ford sites, and a handful of jeep sites, too.

I don't think it is a big deal. The only time I have come across top4x4sites.com is when voting for a site listed there. I think they are pulling a fast one on all of us...get us to vote which takes us to their site....where they have advertisements n such. For them it looks like a lot of traffic and they can sell ad space for a premium.

Oh, and I vote but not for this site, CK5 doesn't need anymore help. I vote for some of the little sites that can benefit from any *exposure* (if there is any) from being on there.

It's been such a great mystery to me how Pirate can be so huge and also not be on that list

In so many words...no The computer I bought a while back when I still had money to pay for a membership even (and did) and interent access I don't pay for.

I thought my points were valid though, is there any proof that voting makes any negligable difference? Seems the prime demographic of visitors on that top4x4's are there because they were voting for a 4x4 site, in which case they probably aren't as likely to go join a "competing" site. If putting a little thought into the whole thing is being negative so be it
