Ok buying another K5 for the collection tomorrow

Problem is it needs a carb to make the 60+ mile trip home.
I got a few edelbrock performers laying around what eaxaclty need to go and stay on the thing vaccum hose wise to make the swap?
Maybe a diagram would help or something idk.
It's an '84 with a 350 sitting with the original q-jet on it.

well I've got an 85 and just swapped to an edelbrock 650. My vacuum's are not hooked up yet, just capped, and it runs fine. You should be able to make that trip.

X2, take extra caps. maybe some Ford (baling) wire.
