OK I debated about posting these for a while....

Have you made anything for the hi-steer option? And will you make a mount on the firewall for the orbital valve instead of on the frame?

And what brand is the double ended ram in the kit? And can you snap a pic of the ram mount from behind the ram? Sort of curious to see how it all goes together.

Haven't done anything for high steer as of yet. Will eventually. Yep, we will make an orbitrol mount for the firewall at some point too.

That particular one is from surplus center. By the time they hit the website we will probably have our own supplier.

Unfortunatley I can't snap any pics of it at all. The customer that requested that one has it now and I have been to busy to get back too it and do another.

cool stuff Kert...but I've got a challenge for ya: I want my full hydro to be behind /above the front axle. I have the arms I need, what I'm mainly looking for is a way to mount the ram back there....

That may well be easier acutally. I'm thinking of making some changes to this unit before we put it up on the website and they'd go hand in hand with what your talkin' aboot.

depending on lift and axle placement, I would think the oil pan could be an issue with the the ram mounted that way

with about 4" of lift up front and 52s, it doesn't look like it'd be a problem. I have my tie rod behind/above right now and at ride-height it is a ways away from the pan. Also, the tie rod is straight all the way across...with the ram, you could mount it closer to the axle (so the tie rods angled slightly) and that'd keep it further away from where the pan dips down. It would be one of those things you'd want to test to see if you needed bump stops, but I think it'd be 'all good'.

I'd love to see a pic of your setup, I wanted to run that style steering but decided just to go the traditional route, for now.

I'm trying to put together my full hydro setup right now. Got a steering unit and cooler. I hear that using high steer arms does put you at greater risk of breaking a knuckle. Im thinking of just using the stock Tierod locations.

check out the steering on the "fun buggy" being built for Petersens mag. It ties the highsteer arms into the stock tie rod mount...

little bit less convoluted on the passanger side (no drag link crap there) but I couldn't find a pic of that side and this is all I could find of the drivers side. Bad angle, but the point is, with heims, some custom bling and some effort, you can have your tie road attached to both the arm and the stock location.

Heres Mine on my Chevy D60. Granted mine is linked but still...

It isn't Kert's But it could give Kert some idears. . :D

Can ya still get the cover off if it were needed for some odd reason??

If so :waytogo:

On mine yes. On Kert's I would assume he made it so you could. It seems like it wouldn't be user friendly if you couldn't.. Mine took alot of thought by my buddy for that to get around that worry.

Yeah i kinda figured you thought about that :haha:

I mean it looks close and i knew it pulled out quite a bit before it actually got past the ring gear.

I like your design though ;)

Kert, your products never cease to amaze me! I know who I'm gonna be talking to if I ever get around to going full hydro!:waytogo:

I figured I'd give kert an Idea about not having to use a diff cover mount. We thought about integrating mine into it but to big of a hassle to pull the cover.
