ok spin tire count revolutions of tire & driveshaft but what is the formula after I do that, I can't remember....

thanks in advance

Open the cover and just get the #s off the ring gear. That is the easiest and most fool proof way to do it. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

Chances are if you dont know the ratio you have, youve never serviced the diff anyhow, and it could use an oil change. It shouldnt take more than 30 min to do. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

get a piece of string a couple feet long
tape one end to the driveshaft so that when it turns the string will wrap around the shaft
mark the tire and roll forward exactly one tire revolution.
now count how many wraps the string has made on the driveshaft
