Ok, my turn to ask a dumb question..

I recently aquired a set of H2 rims...What is the widest tire you would feel safe running on them, with no beadlocks ? Right now I have 12.50's on them. and would like to go a little bit wider. I have look at a few tire web sites and most of them state that a 12.50 should be on a 10 inch wide rim, and if i remember correctly the H2s are only 8 or 8.5 inches wide?

You can put wider tires on those rims. The wider the tire or the more narrow the rim the better your tires will stay on the rim. The downside to jamming wide tires on skinny rims is that they balloon and you might have wear issues. Also, the tires will generally sit taller and narrower on a narrow rim.
