OK need some help

Ok i noticed that me tranny is not level under my truck it looks lower on the pass side them on the drivers side. So I was wondering how hard is it to replace the tranny mounts on an 88 k5? Any and all help would be great.

Are they loose? If not, then dont worry about them

not lose but i can tell its out of wack cause the shifter linkage get stuck on my front rear shackle bolts

tranny mount is super easy, its just the adapter on between your trans and TC. are you sure one of your motor mounts isnt bad?

Ill check. What is the easyest way to tell?

you could probably shake the motor by like your alternator and if it shakes alot its probably bad, you would also be able to feel and hear it driving. turn your truck on and let somebody rev the engine in neutral while you watch, see which mount deflects the most under the motor torque. see whats going on there and take some pics or something! when you rev the motor it should be pretty obvious.

More than likely it's the motor mounts that are bad.

To check the Motor Mounts turn the vehicle on and place one foot on the brake. Put the truck in gear and snap rev the motor. If the motor jumps the mounts are bad. Do it in Drive and the in reverse to check both mounts. Good Luck!
