Well the time has come to get the parts together to get the transfer case all worked out for now. I have a few questions because I cant remember for sure all these specs. Heres the deal.

I have a NV4500 out of a 93 Chevy in my blazer with a 205. Im gong to take off the 205. I know I have to change the mainshaft to a un cut 4wd one. I have the stock adapter for the 4500 to 241. However I am going to put a 243 on the back. I know the 243 and 241 are basically the same but,

Is the input the same for the 241 and 243? (32 spline)

Will the rear flange off my 205 bolt onto the 243? (I know ill have to change the seal) If not, is there a CV flange that will work on the 243?

I think thats all for now, if I cant remember anyhting else, ill add it. Thanks in advance! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Is the 243 the electric shift 241 because if is the input shaft should work. If you used the round bolt pattern 205 on the nv 4500 all you should have to do is change your input shaft in the tcase to the 32 splined input bolt if it does not already have a 32 input in the tcase. If the 205 had a slip yoke output shaft your drive shaft should work. I hope this helped you out and not confused you.

Yes a 243 is an elcetric shift 241. I have the AA adapters for the 205, but ill just put the stock adapter back on for the 243, so the input is the same, thats what I figured, makes sense.

My 205 now has a fixed yoke with a flange. Do you know if the output on a 243 (241) will fit a flange off my 205? Assuming I will use the super short SYE.

Thanks for the help, if not ill try and figure it all out at work.

Oh and does anyine have an overall length for a 241, with the slip yoke?
