do tires measure there full size just by themselves or do they expand once you put the rims on and air them up??? im just wondering because my next big work shop isnt till thanksgiving break (high school sucks) and my new nittos only measure 35.5 inches tall without the rims on it. they are suppose to be 37's and i dont have time to trim the fenders till thanksgiving break. and i really want to be able to drive it. i repeat drive it. no real wheeling yet. so would i be able to get away with it?

They'll be bigger on rims and inflated...prolly close to the advertised 37" by the sounds of it.

alright. do you know if i can get away with driving it on the road without trimming the fenders?

They will be bigger on the measuring rim width , see the manufacturers web page for that . But most tires are a little smaller anyway , I think the mold is that size , but what comes out is smaller .

Larger tire makers like Interco etc , are the closest to the stated size than the off brands .
