Somehow my breather tube is sitting on my exhaust piping out back... looking to replace with the correct type of line.

I'd use tranny cooler line so it wouldn't fall apart with the oil vapors in it

I know the breather is a 1 way valve type deal and there's really no pressure on it... don't know why I questioned myself for using what Ive been using over the years.

Trying to do everything right the 1st time on this truck so i figured I'd ask.

I've seen people use "bellows" from snow machines. Drill and tap for a NPT fitting then pop the bellow on there.

I've heard the the heat from the gear oil cause the bellow to blow up like a balloon sometimes though. I've seen some people run 2 in a diff cover, guessing it was to mitigate that problem.

Sounds like paranoia and overkill to me....
