I ain't tellin what I used, but what would be the oil to use for whetstone sharpening your knife????

Ok what oil to use for sharpening????

Honing oil. Made just for the purpose. In a pinch, 3-in-1 oil, or any other light oil will work. Oil for lubing firearms will work, Outers or Hoppes and whatnot. Hell, veggie or olive oil prolly works too.
