Okay guys, whats a good price to rebuild a 6.2?

Im looking at worse case scenerio here, im probably gonna have it towed to my trusted mechanic to do the work and im thinking at worst it will need a rebuild and i want to know what i should be spending about. I know its "built not bought" and i have done alot of work on the truck myself, but it got really cold again, and wet and its snowing a foot outside. I dont look forward to doing anything minor in the street, let alone major work as a newbie. So anyone got any reasonable numbers so i know im not getting raped? (i should be alright, i trust the guy, just making sure)

Just to rebuild the engine i'm going to guesstimate close to $3K and if you want someone to pull the engine and re-install it i would guess another $1500-2000.

Pricing on your coast is probably alot different than here though.

well, yes. Engine rebuilders may not look into the deisel forums. Nor someone who had one rebuilt and knows anything about deisels. I dont like post whoring, but i also know a new topic is needed when your talking about a different subject and lets face it the garage gets more traffic. Thanks
