all about the blazers and the full size 4x4s but i just wanted to ask this anyway because in a few months it will be my dd

i got a 1987 suzuki samuari yea i already flipped it, took it wheelin and got it to jump 5 feet in the air and all that but right now it has a 1.3l that has a blown head gasket and the head is all screwed up. I am wondering if i should just upgrade the engine to a 1.6 or frakentstein it and get a small block and have a shop fab everything for it?

it will be my daily driver

grab a efi engine from a sidekick.i repainted one that had the conversion in it and it seemed to double the power

Putting a small block in a Sami would take a ton of time and money. Go get another 4 popper.

if i change my carbed 1.3 to a fuel injected 1.6 what other stuff do i need to get? and does anyone know a decent crate engein store?

what about a 4.3? hehe now that would be sweet. for simplicity tho go with the 1.6

I dig the little Samis. A friend has one and has beet the crap out of it. It has a locked yota axles and an exo cage w/ 33s. Been rolled and flipped many times. Clutch smoked and keeps going. It finally had it when it went under water.... completely. Got stuck on a little dyke and when pulling out went all under except 1 foot corner of the top. Pulled the plugs and got er started but never ran right agian. Lots of fun though for the little that is into it.

It's much like having a fourwheeler, ATV. They can go in spots others can only dream of. Best thing to do is a 1.6 swap. Just get a tracker and hack what you need out of one of them.

what is your guyises personal oppion about the samuari
I think they're cute little buggers...:D

somewhere between an ATV and a fullsize. I think they are great econo wheelers. They seem to hold up well and I bet i burn more fuel with my 150HP two stroke 800cc snowmobile than a 'Zuke would burn in one day...:doah:

cool i thought you would diss me for having a sammy. because i heard of all the crap you guys said about jeeps....like barbie has a jeep too...yada yada.. anyways you guys are right, they can go places full size can't but then again we can get stuck in the rutts of your tires lol..i'm proud of my little thing...as I said...bigger truck, smaller penis, but thats for only the guys i see around here who jack their chevy silveraldos up 10 feet and get lots of chrome

I only make fun of Jeeps because more Jeep guys I've met are afraid of scratching their paint than any other "brand loyal" guys I've hung out with. I'm gonna rebuild my truck in a year to have a body as narrow as a Sami, so you're starting out with one thing I'm already jealous of. :p:

I agree with the 1.6 swap, anything more and your getting to heavy..

Don't tell anyone but I've got a Sidekick that I have a few plans for :ignore:

There is no doubt that the jeeps are great wheelers, I just find it funny when "diehard" brand loyal Jeep guys are proud of their jeep wheeler when it's mostly a Cheep. Everything chevy but the front clip and frame.

This crowd just likes fullsizes better, thats all.
