My engine is full of mud, oil and grease. The underbody is also grease, oil and mud. Near the ujoints over the years grease has coated the underbody. I think in some ways this grease has protected it from rust. I wonder if this grease can also be a fire hazzard.

Grease is combustible. Dirt is not. You have me wondering what the ratio of grease to dirt is when it becomes noncombustible.

Thanks to my transfer case output, my floors will never rust. But dirt does hold moisture so its a toss up.
