Old or New style Ford Towers?

ie. cast or stamped. Does it matter? Any advantage to one over the other?

A couple of posts refer to a difficulty mounting the 'new' or cast ones at a 'good' angle.

i would think stamped has more to offer.how hard are you gonna punish your truck?air time ,etc.other than that i think both should be fine.i have had both and they take some abuse.

i want towers on my 1st gen but now i can't decide between new and old style either =( i didn't even know the new ones existed until i saw this thread.

The only thing I can think of is that the old ones will pack full of mud. If there is no further input soon I'll go for the cast ones.
