OMFG it lives again!!

The tranny tunnel is currently a clusterfu(k that needs some time spent on it. It vibrates like a cheap motel bed, but for the meantime it does keep the heat in the truck.

I have posted a ton of pic's already, but to save you time here is a link to all of them.

rene - i didn't see any pics on photobucket of your tranny tunnel.

That'd be because I haven't taken any...mostly because I'm not happy with it as it is and plan on redoing it completely.

I am trying to build up the second shift at work right now, which meant my Jimmy needed to be back on the road before I was completely done with it. I've spent the last few weeks taking care of all the other little things that have come up or weren't done.

I think I finally fixed the death wobble problems which I've been fighting for the last 6 weeks off and on.

Ironically I need to pull the tranny and t-cases again. I overlooked using a bit of RTV in the input retainer when I put the NV4500. So, now it weeps a bit of lube between the bell and tranny. :doah: I also need to bleed the last air bubble out of the clutch slave. It works but the clutch releases pretty close to the floor.

The good thing is I'm slowly working through all the 'bugs'.

I'll probably do the new tranny tunnel in the next couple of weeks...and I will post up pic's then.

Just a heads up Rene, the extra spring preload didn't help. I wound up grinding the grooves in the "rooster comb" where the ball rides, a little deeper and more rounder. That fixed it.

Oddly enough ever since I added the 1/4" spacer under that spring it hasn't popped out of 2HI since... :dunno: :dunno:

So...it worked for me. :D
