Now i know how frustrating it is to have your truck in the shop and it just sits and sits, but since i don't have the time or frankly the skills to install coilovers i had to take it in, well after a few months it looks like its at the head of the line, rear 14 bolt is in, sye is in the front axle is out and all the brackets are gone.
Progress :)

Oh geez, I missed that you were doing a dually at the same time you were doing your K5. You sound like me! Get one project started, and then get another one! Can't wait to hear your impressions of the coil-over ride and drive. I've been eyeing that for awhile, but haven't pulled the trigger.

Well i wasn't expecting it to take so long to get the Blazer done, i sure hope the coil overs are worth it, way more involved than i would have imagined, The dually was going to just get a quick paint job but they decided to go whole hog on it so hopefully i will have it back before end of the year. Blazer no idea when that will be done, after the suspension it still needs cage, winch, OBA but the shop that its at is just one guy and he has a bunch of work. when i get the Crew cab back then i will start work on the Suburban ( just lift, wheels tires and winch ) unless i sell it first
 
Ahhh yes, the infamous "one man shop"... You know it's funny, but those guys are typically "artists" at what they do, but getting them to focus and complete something is maddening. My mechanic isn't a one man shop, but he is the only there who can do what he does, so it may as well be a one man shop. My stuff sits at his place for years while he knocks out other projects he has to work on. I know all too well how that goes. My buddy dropped his Nortech Supercat at his painter last December for a complete repaint and new interior.... needless to say we never got to get on the boat this past season. The work he has done so far looks incredible, but the boat STILL isn't back together and it has been a year now. Was supposed to be 3 months... I guess that's just the nature of these kinds of projects when you go with these smaller shops who do great work, but at a snails pace.
 
The coilovers will be well worth the wait. It’ll be so sweet you’ll forget you even had to wait..
 
The problem with the one man shop is they don't know how to charge on the big jobs. You have to do a monthly payment. That way the little jobs that you get paid quick for don't take you off the big jobs.

This may be the case may not be. But it's difficult being a one man show. I'll bet he spends 50% if his workday on the phone.

Oh and the coilovers will be well worth it
 
Out of curiosity what does a paint job cost on a land barge like that?
 
Considering that he took the whole thing apart and stripped it down to bare metal since they had a factory problem with the primer it should have been in the $10k range, i didn't pay nearly that but also had two blazers painted

I expect 10 grand for my hoopty even with it being really solid overall. I am going to be there soon. But in all reality I'll probably never have that amount in hand. I find some dumb thing to blow it on.
