If i had any idea how much was involved going with coilovers i probably would have stuck with leafs, My friends K5 we did the ORD custom springs and it rides great.
I just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end but damn its frustrating having to wait to get it finished. plus the fact is it will probably never be finished, still need the cage, winch, then figure where i'm going to put the spare tire.
have the on board air figured out but now i'm considering putting in a welder , so just keeps going

Get it running and enjoyable... then add stuff as you go. Down few weeks is better than years... i know...
What lift and tire size do you have on the dually? I love the stance of it.

Thanks, i believe its a 2.5" lift, the tires are 33" on 16" rims
That's kinda what I figured it was. Standard dually step up from stock.

Yes I've been tempted to do 4"lift and 37s but first i want to see how it tows the boat the way it is, plus if i go taller ill have to install steps which i prefer not to do so may just leave well enough alone.
Yeah for a tow rig I think what you have should be perfect. I run into issues with height and my toy hauler since its a 5th wheel. My 3+3 has a flatbed so it should be no problem if I convert it to 4x4 and lift it. My Ford will likely get a flatbed also some day to alleviate bed to trailer clearance issues. I tow in the mtns a lot and most places aren't exactly flat.
If i was starting over with my crewcab, I would keep it shorter with smaller tires, Mine is 4” suspension lift, 1” bodylift, and 37” tires. I love it most of the time. It is less awesome for towing and all around general use. I still have to help my 9 yr old get in sometimes. A little tall for the old lady to climb in comfortably too. Mine is a do everything compromise, once I build another more serious wheeler, I will wish my truck was shorter.

well have wheels and tires now, one step closer, the fab shop had to move so progress came to a halt for last two months

Cant wait to see this thing done.
Love that wheel and tire combo!! Looks mint!! And you will not regret the decision to link it.. especially if the heights not what you want, you can drop the preload some or change the springs out.. either way it’s easy to adjust it..

Nope its still there, its had a little bit more done but not much, I've about given up on it, Since its been in the shop i have bought and redone a a crew cab dually, bought a 'suburban and fixed it up and a been redoing a 92 van
