I just changed the oil & filter, transmission fluid & filter, rear end oil, and the air filter on my 89 6.2 burb. And as soon as I started it it sounded different. Just from a new air filter I am sure. It eben seemed to have maybe a hint of more acceleration? :haha:

air filter

That will be the difference right there :waytogo:

We have emissions testing for diesels here... I dropped 7% opacity reading from changing the filter alone. :smirk:

Diesels love lots of fresh clean air....I get better mileage for awhile when I change the oil too....

I recently returned from Iraq and maintence on our HMMWV was always a pain but I could tell when it was time to knock the sand out of my air filter by the way my engine sounded on start up.

Try washing it. It will be faster and drive better, or at least it will feel like it.

a clean car always runs better :waytogo:

I had a 94 dodge ram with a 318, If I let it go to 3,500 miles without changing the oil, it would run bad and stall. After an oil change it would run fine again. I also had an 87 toyota, I think I changed the oil twice in five years, it ran like a clock when I sold it
