Hey ck5. Me and my father made a bet and i need some help to solve it. My dad had an old 82 k5 up until 2000 and i've been interested in what happened to it lately. So i'll give you some physical details and stuff and we'll see what we can make of it and if anyone has seen a k5 like it.
The k5 was our truck up until 2000 when we traded it in for our expedition. It was traded in to Midway auto plaza which is in Layton Utah. So there's your general location. States like utah, idaho, whyoming, colorado and nevada.
For some physical details, it had quite a few things. It was the black and red trim with red interior. It had custom running boards on the sides. A big push bar was mounted on the front which had a towing hitch. On the right rear side of the vehicle, there was a large dent in the metal from a crash. This didn't have the split windows in the back, just a single one. It was running on 35's or 36's so the tires were bigger than stock.
As for details like running and stuff, there were a few. It had the 6.2L diesel with an automatic trans. The cables to the battery terminals were not at all standard. They were custom made very big for larger surges of power and instead of side post mounts, they were top mount. This truck had 2 shocks per tire and on the rear suspension also had a semi airbag system with onboard compressor. But here's the most amazing thing. This truck was somewhat lacking in power and that was because the owner before us had installed a semi fuel pump and injector system which slipped a low amount of fuel in. This made this truck get about 30 to 40 mpg  I know it sounds impossible but it was true.
that's all i can think of at the moment for details. i'd just like to see if i can find it just for the heck of it, thus the title

Carfax the VIN if you still have it, thats gonna be your best bet to see where it is, if its still on the road................ or if you have a friend at the DMV. Stranger things have happened. I ran in to my old FJ60 landcruiser 6 years after I sold it at a swap meet for motorcycles, which I only went to this once, and never again. Socal isn't that small, but still a small world.

B U M P!!!!
And, i did find it on carfax, but i just want to see if anyone can find anything on here first, just for he heck of it

I wondered where my old truck went to so I ran carfax...I traded it in at SL Valley GMC and some guy drove all the way from Big Fish Montana and bought it:eek1: It sold the day i traded it in, I knew I should have asked more when I traded it in:doah:I reallly miss that truck bought it new and had it for 13 years, and was hoping it stayed local so I could buy it again one day but oh well:p:
