on board air question

hey all.
i have an '88 k5 "custom deluxe" so it didn't come with a/c. but i have a compressor and a bracket all set to go. so my question is. . .
can i just add this compressor where the a/c would have gone and route a belt to it? i haven't done much research into this yet, but i figure i will either need a different pulley and another belt, or just a different belt to keep this thing goin'. any advice and helpful tips would be cool.

I think you will need a double pulley for the power steering and another slot behind the water pump. The rest should bolt right up. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
