? on ONBOARD AIR

I was told about this one at Harbor Freight. You get what you pay for so be careful when asking about "cheap".

Use at own risk

or

I found this one for $10.00

Word of advice..Don't buy a VIAIR product.Mine never worked and still doesn't,they don't seem to want to do anything about it.

Serpentine or v-belt? They can be done pretty cheap with a little ingenuity.

My thoughts, junkyard York, make a few drawings and have the templates CNC plasma'd and welded together, bolt it up, run another v-belt, and find fittings from there.

I'm alittle leary about VIAIR products Heard nothing but bad

What was so bad about VIAIR? I've had it for a year and used it each time I wheeled. Aired down and aired back up my tires each time... I even used air tools several times...

I guess it's just too soon to have mine come up with any problems.

V belts

I'm not sure.I don't have a air compressor, but i've talked to some people and they all seemed to say its in the quality or lack there of.

The York works really well. If you can't cut your own brackets just buy them from Kilby Enterprises. They do some really neat receivers too plus you can get any fittings etc from them.
If you use their bracket when you have a/c on a serp. set up you need to extend the PS resevoir neck, but I'm not sure about V belt set ups.

Kilby only sells brackets for serpentine belt systems.
Muddytaz is the only person I've seen who sells brackets for v-belt setups.

anyone used the original smog air pump bracket

from the serp setup to mount a york compressor?

it might fool the emission man too!

just a thought.
