How far on the shaft does your pitman arm go on your steering box? I have a drop pitman arm and it doesn't go on very far, in fact the shaft isn't even flush with the end of the pitman arm, its recessed in a little bit

And if it makes a difference, it is a drop pitman arm for an 8inch lift on a 4 wheel drive gearbox.

The nut will usually make it just to the end of the threads (i.e. no threads sticking past the nut).

sounds like stock steering, as long as the cross bolt fits in, tighten it down and your good.

Yup, if its a 4 wd box then it'll use a pinch bolt to clamp the pitman on the sector shaft.
