? on what is needed to convert 208

what parts are needed to convert a 27 spline to a 32 spline other than adaptor. and will a dodge tcase adapt with the gm input and adaptor on it. thanks

just the transfer case input shaft, and yes you can use dodge/chevy parts to build a case

What kinda trany? long or short 32 spline? th400 or sm465?

i will be building a truggy type truck with a k5 x mill frame and 88-up truck cab and frt clip with flatbed. this will have tbi sbc with 4l80 tranny 2x4 fixed yoke. and i wanted to use a 208 for the lower ratio. but i wanted to use a dodge case to get the fixed yoke rear. i think if if i am correct that i need the gm adaptor and input gear to swap in to the dodge 208 to fit a gm tranny. am i correct? thanks :cool1:

You can use a gm 208 and adapter and jsut swap in the dodge output.

I'm not to educated on teh 4l80, talk th400,350,205,203 or 208 and I'm yter guy lol.

Yu say fixed yoke 2wd 4l80 so I am guessing a divorced combo? how you gonna make a fixed input 208? Unless Ive had too many jack n cokce sim on the riht trank here lol.

4l80-e same 6 bolt as 400 and same spline count a 400 just diffrent internal shaft setup so you cant swap 400 output shaft in to a 4l80-e. and i have been told that the seal lip is just a bit diffrent. havent got that far yet.

i saw that modified 208 in the for sale form a wile back and that was a gm frt case to a dodge back case ? thats why i wanted to just use a dodge case if its simpler to do.

k I figured the 4l80E cuz it has a 32 splien as well as 400. As far as I know outputs arent universal between different tranies. I dunno what kidna tires and pwoer you'll be running, 208's are good for a lower range however, being aluminum casing ans chain driven, they are strong to a point.

2x4 4l80-e swap to 4x4 4l80-e easy for my first try hear with 205 on it. custom 6061 alum spacer 1 1/4" thick to space the tcase off the end of the shaft by 2-3 k of a inch. just a spacer.

thinking 1 ton 4.56 axles and blazer frame as listed just for play toy with 38" tires and sbc for now and bbc 454 later.

should i look for a 241 and go from there ? for more strength.
