ONE BIG JIMMY "Everything In TX Is Bigger!"

Got the seats back from getting recovered yesterday
They added a little foam and did a great job!
Little bit of good old fashion Texas heat and my big ass in them and the wrinkles will come right out.
Rivas General Upholstery in Sherman, TX
Great guys and they do awesome work from restoration to full blown custom

To answer questions

Got some goodies in the mail today
Caddy calipers for the rear disk brakes
Had to order 3 times
Most places have them listed for sale but when you actually place the order the come back and say they do not have them available
I guess the cores are getting harder and harder to get to keep up a good stock

Yes I do
I posted those back about 5-6 months ago
I was able to get a brand new set
I found a guy that makes them

This thing is a work of art. Next time you move you should move down to around the Austin area. That way I can help you wrench and learn.

Thanks man!
Love Austin hopefully my son will be going to college down there soon if he gets his way

Haven’t been doing much lately
Hit a slump of frustration with the build but I’m slowly getting back into it.
Got the winch mount all cut down to fit now I just have to drill holes and get it powder coated
Will get pics of that when I get holes drilled and a little detail on what I did.

But the one thing I have been waiting on just came to life was the pre runner light bar.
So I can’t remember if I said anything about it earlier but what I did was I took a CUCV brush guard and cut everything off but the lower bar and the mounting locations. I wanted to make the pre runner mount up to factory locations without having to drill or cut.
So I came up with this.
I have it up there just for a test fit.

I have a little more trimming and playing with it but it will work good. I will mount light between the main hoop bar.

Once I get that all trimmed and fitted I will take the pre runner and winch plate to powder coat to match the bumper

Hey how was the pricing on getting your seats done? Im in Decatur Tx but willing to travel for the right work.

The upholstery kit came from classic industries and I think that was about $700 then to get the kit installed on the seats and reinforce the foam it was $300
So about $1000 total but well worth the money spent
The pics I have posted do not do them justice
They look great!

They guys that did it are in Sherman and they are great to deal with.

Awesome sounds good. I got aftermarket seats for free but thier yellow. No bueno. Btw got lots of parts if you ever need anything. 2 parts k5's in the back pasture and a stack of axles

Well
I have a M1028 CUCV and I have a bed and I have the military conversion kit to make it a dually which gives me a Dana 70 with the 4.56 gears
I also happen to have a complete Silverado interior for it as well
So it might happen
We shall see

I got 10 bolts front and rears, dana44's front, 2 12 bolts, a few 14 bolts 1 is drw, 2 dana70-u's and im sure a few more. No no d60's tho.

Damn!
You do have a bunch of axles!
I will keep that in mind my dad is building a truck soon and we may need some of those
