ONE BIG JIMMY "Everything In TX Is Bigger!"

Well I stopped by the body shop today and checked the progress.
Most of the body work has been completed and should be a couple of weeks and I will be doing the snoopy dance! :woot:
I did not have my phone so no pics this time but I will get some soon. I have to go up and take a couple of things off the firewall so they can strip that down. I will get pics then

Got some goodies from Brown Santa!

I will have to get a little work done to the factory y pipe that I purchased to make them fit to the 3" Flowmaster cat back system I have for it.

Not to much work though!
I have a buddy that owns an exhaust shop and he is going to get it taken care of for me

Got a little gift in the mail today!
Picked it up off of eBay from across the pond for about$43.00 shipped.

Quality is excellent and I will be getting another one for any other ls swap I do in the future.

Took 2 weeks to get here but for the price it was worth the wait.

The oil adapter has an10 line fittings and a port on the side for a pressure sensor or a turbo oil feed line.

Now I just have to order the lines and the fittings I need and I will be done with the oil cooler side of it all.

Mounted perfectly!
No issues at all

That is sweet, I'm going the cheap route and hacking a factory ls cooler lines for mine.

I was going to do the same
And I actually dropped it off to have new fittings put on it and they did such a bad job that I left it with them and told them to eat it.

So I was looking at the cost of replacement lines and damn near died when I saw the cost of them.

So I did what any idiot would do!
I went the more expensive option :0)

This one was replaced under warranty where the rubber was, I'm going to cut it back and get some new stuff made.

Some new pics of the chassis
Been awhile since it's seen daylight

I really like that cooler adapter. I'll have to keep that in mind.

nice pics too, feels good to see it in the sun :D

Got some goodies in over the weekend
I did a little research and found that with my effort to keep this build as clean as possible I decided that I was going to go ahead and do AN braided hose for all the fluids like the trans, oil, fuel. For me it just makes it easier to do the adapting that I need to do. Just like most of us the cost is an issue but I will piece it together as fast as I can and try to document it for you guys the best that I can that way it might make someone's life easier.

ONE BIG JIMMY "Everything In TX Is Bigger!"

With all that said I purchased 3 things
With going to the AN lines I had to get the adapters for the in-tank sending unit
I went with the following Russell fittings
640820
Which is a M14x1.5 female o-ring AN6
640830
Which is a M16x1.5 female o-ring AN6

I will get some install pics as soon as I put them on.

I also picked up a Russell fuel filter for the AN6 lines

I like the look of this filter. It's small and nicely made.

Thanks for asking!
Well that's a long story but I will make it as short as I can.
I was having problems with my quad responding and so after a bunch of procedures we finally figured out when they used the femoral nerve blocker for pain.
That put the nerve to sleep and it has not waken up since.
So I have very limited function of the right leg
I can walk and drive but no running, kicking even climbing stairs is super slow and it's pretty hard to walk up and down hills.
Then after a nerve conduction test they found that I also have an issue with my spine. L5 S1 will have to be fused due to bone loss in L5. It's allowing the vertebrae to move in a sheering motion which is cutting a nerve that controls some lower leg functions.

This is all from 10 years of heavy lifting and bending.

So if anybody you know that is looking in getting into the commercial tire business tell them to read the above.

Other than all that garbage I'm doing pretty well and even started a new job.

So since I'm going to run 2 sets of oil and temp sensors.
One set for the factory gauges in the truck and the other for the factory lq4 sensors to the ecu.
I decided to mount the oil pressure sensor off the distribution block for the oil cooler.
It's out of the way and a good 9 to 10 inches from the exhaust manifolds and easy to get to.

WT5121 is the coolant temp sensor you want, its three wire. Two for PCM and one for the factory temp gauge. The LS PCM does not require an oil pressure input if you only want to run the one sensor.

I love that oil cooler block off plate BTW!

So that wt5121 also was able to operate the factory gauge as well with out issues?

That's what I've been told on the pcm not needing the temp but I did not know it also did not need the oil pressure as well
