ONE BIG JIMMY "Everything In TX Is Bigger!"

Read way back and you are using the cucv core support. What were the main reasons beside radiator? Can't a 6.2 radiator go on any core support?

The only reason I used it was I was not 100% sure if there was any difference between the two and the other One had some Russ issues here or there so I just made the decision to use the 6.2 support

But now that I'm putting it all back together I have found a few differences between the 86 CUCV support in the 86 civilian support mainly in the headlight bucket area

Yeah I was wondering if you had a way to use stacked headlights on a cucv core support.

Really the only thing that I see is that several of the holes for the headlight adjusters are not stamped out and 2 locations for the springs. The indentions are there for those holes so I will have to pop those in.
Other than that it should work just fine.

I will for sure when I get to that point
See if I can get some decent pics of it all

The difference is.....the core support for 4 headlight is different than a core support for 2 headlight. CUCV/Civilian 2 headlight core supports are the same.

That is true but as in my post before it looks like the only difference between the ones that I have the 4 light and the 2 it a few adjuster holes and spring keeper holes.
The headlight bucket holes are the same

But I will post when I get there

Are you talking about the inner fender wells?
If so, no I am not.
They are powder coated. Had them done the same time I had the core support and the frame.

I'm sure after some enough rocks and debris gets kicked up on them I will coat them but for now I will leave them the way they are.

Either way, your build is very much like mine. AWESOME BTW! LOL Did you get that tow switch working. I'd be interested how, if you did.

Thanks man!

Have not got to the tow haul switch yet but it's coming soon I will be sure to put a write up on it for you.

I'm excited to see if I can get that to work.

Just read this whole thing.

Keep it up. Looks really good.

I love the color. I've always wanted to do a two tone with that silver on the bottom and maybe that dark ford super duty blue on top. Can't wait to see it done.
