Well all I can say is spinal fusion is a BITCH!!!
I had L5 S1 fusion on the 8th and I'm still in bed moving around here or there but holy crap it's rough.

Sitting here in bed looking through my pictures of progress I found a couple of the airbox for the evaporator core that I cleaned up

Are used a gasket scraper to get off all of the sealant that GM used generously to seal up the box and the box against the fire wall.
Which by the way mine look like a two year old did it!

It took me about three hours to clean the box up. I used 400 grit sand paper to go over the entire box once on the gasket material was scraped away and about two cans of brake cleaner to clean it all off.

Then I used a semi- gloss black paint to paint over it to clean it all up I wish the completion pictures were a little bit better but it really looked like $1 million compared to what it used to.

Had enough energy and strength to go mess with headlight adjusters. The factory plastic holders are enough to drive me insane breaking and bouncing over time.

I was on the hunt for a solution due to the CUCV core support not having the holes for the 86 dual headlight set up.

So on another thread on CK5 I found a member that mentioned he used a ford adjuster from a late 60's galaxie
Soooooo I did some research and found out what he was talking about and found The ford ones mentioned you can get those from Rock Auto for $2.53 a set
Dorman # 42171

Pretty simple to install. I had to drill 2 holes per side and the additional holes for the pop rivets

I also ordered the TNA winch cradle kit from Darren which is a member on CK5 as most of you know.

Since I am running the CUCV frame extensions and the CUCV bumper so I plan on doing some mods and run it as a hidden winch setup with the fairlead in the liscense plate area

I should receive that tomorrow and will take photos as I go to show how I will make it work.

Darren is super easy to work with and I'm excited to get this part of the project going.

Brilliant idea in riveting in the ford adjusters. I had the same problem with my trucks OE style adjuster retainers and ended up widening the mounting squares to fit later generation GM type retainers. Definitely would have preferred to have gone this route.

Ok
Here comes a viewers poll !!
With the body color and the satin black trim I do not like the amber marker lights on the fender.
So here are the choices
The clear ones are not even going to be considered
So Smoke or Blackout???

Excited to see this. That's gonna be cool.

Laying in bed for weeks has its advantages!!!
I finally found someone that is making the hardware kit for the 76-78 Cadillac Eldorado calipers for the E brake
And it came in!
Can't wait to get all that rolling as well!!

Let me check with him and make sure he's OK with me putting his info out

Looking forward to the bumper install, I plan on doing the same setup eventually. Take lots of pics if you can.
