I currently have the 2:1 3" exhaust and it fits as you say.
Sounds like you ran your lower mounts to the from of the axle tube...? I am going to try to keep the mounts on the back. I will not finish the mount until I get the final pinion angle needed for the pending 4l80 upgrade.

Been working on getting the wire all cleaned up and in loom.
Test fitted the engine covers.

So while I was rebuilding the vent windows
I found out why you do not buy cheap crap
It was unintentional that I bought cheap crap but that’s what I received.
So with the seal kit I purchased I opted to get the vivet kit with it as well.
The kit came with rivers and the tool to use to expand the rivet.
I tried using the supplied rivet several times and found that evertime I did the rivet was just not big enough to do the job and would push out of the hole
Well I looked around and found that the original rivet had a collar and the new rivet did not
So I purchased the new rivets at $2.09 each and that fixed the problem
In the pics you can see the difference

Played around yesterday in the shop and did a couple of things.
Installed both side windows in the top just need the lock strips
Installed the ac lines from compressor to condenser and dryer
Installed the new disc to disc proportioning valve for the brakes

Well its been a while since I posted anything. I still have it and its still sitting in my shop.
work kids and family seem to take a majority of the time but I will get you guys all caught up to current here soon.
Honestly I hit a point that everything I was currently doing to it pissed me off and was having issues getting things to work or look the way I wanted them to so I just said screw it and put it on the back burner until I felt like I wanted to work on the damn thing again.
Ok, now with all that out of the way I will get yall caught up.

Went out to it back some time ago and it would not start.
No whine from the fuel pump
I know what that means!
Pull the damn tank and install a new pump.
I decided to cut a hole in the rear floor to make it easier to access the pump.
Not a fun project but it turned out good.
I purchased a floor patch panel and trimmed it to fit my new access hole and then drilled and installed rivnuts so I can unbolt anytime I have this issue.
Also at the same time I went ahead and ordered a new tank and replaced the original.

Apologies if its back in the thread, but what air box are you using? And does it take in cold air (at least colder than the engine bay)? Routed through core support?

I used the factory 2001 6.0 air box
it lines up on the fender right at a air whole. It does not snap in but it is aligned with it and the foam on the intake tube it makes it fit better to the fender
I do not think its the coldest location like getting it from the core support but it works and looks good
there is a post that shows what I did on modifying the aux battery tray to mount it to and bolt right in.
I was fortunate enough to get a set of brackets from Don at C/K specialties to be able to mount amp steps from a Chevy truck to the Jimmy!
Waited for roughly 3 months once ordered to get the brackets and well worth the wait!!
Excellent quality as well super sturdy.
At the time they made them in small batches and I had to wait for the next batch to be made.
They fit like a glove and mounted right up
Picked up the steps on market place.
I measured the steps and cut them down to fit the way I wanted them to.
A very easy process and so far I am happy with the results
I still have to wire it all up and adjust but for now they are mounted and I cant wait to get them wired!
